Crosshatch Hot Dogs on Grilled Croissants

| Today let’s take a look at a recipe you might want to try on your next campout.
I’m always looking for ways to add a twist to old favorites. Camping and hot dogs seem to go together so much, I thought I would try this one: Crosshatch Hot Dogs on Grilled Croissants.

I’ll not repeat the recipe here to honor any copyrights, but you can follow the link above to get the details. What’s new and different is that the hot dogs are glazed, and cut in such a way as to give a different texture and to cook more quickly. Also a croissant is not a usual camping food, so that will be new and different. There’s no reason not to try this at your campground. I do suggest, however, trying it on a grill rather than over your fire.
The final result is a tasty hot-dog-and-cabbage sandwich. With the glaze for the dogs and the mustard on the toasted/grilled croissant, I anticipate the taste will be excellent. Not everyone likes cabbage, so when I experiment with this on my boys, I’ll let them think it’s lettuce. I’ll let you know how it goes.
